To avoid dryness and irritation, a face toner should be applied immediately after washing the face. The face toner, which contains ceramides, provides excellent hydration and helps restore the skin’s protective functions, leaving it supple and soft. Moisturising and nourishing, the toner removes the residue of the previous cleanser, soothes and nourishes the skin internally and prepares it for further care. The toner promotes hydration of the skin layers, restores the balance of the sebaceous glands and nourishes with rich vitamins and minerals.
A mildly acidic formula (pH 5.5) maintains optimal skin moisture levels and a healthy protective barrier.
Ceramides, which are lipids in solid or waxy form (sphingolipids), together with cholesterol and fatty acids, form the lipid barrier of human skin. When the surface of the skin is damaged, ceramides moisturise drier areas of the skin, maintain optimal moisture levels and reduce moisture loss, as well as improving epidermal elasticity.
The yeast extract in the formula is derived from the cell walls of baker’s yeast. This extract, rich in polysaccharides (beta-glucan), not only provides the skin with excellent hydration, but also boosts its immunity, protects the skin from UV rays, stimulates the production of collagen and glycoproteins, which in turn improves skin elasticity and tightness.
Usage:
Apply a small amount of face toner to a cotton pad and gently cleanse the skin.
